In my experience with NY auto salvages, you can expect yards to operate standard business hours Monday through Friday and then have limited hours on Saturday.

If you want to avoid other customers, weekdays usually result in an emptier yard. While some of the best yards are in NYC, I find upstate and Long Island yards, to have fewer customers, higher quality parts, and better prices.

It’s important to read reviews on the yards you decide to visit. Not all places have excellent customer service or a team of people to answer questions.
